School Library Journal - 04/01/2026 Gr 3–5—This collection of humor books covers kid-friendly topics, such as animals, sports, food, and school. The minimalist page design pairs sparse text with large photographs, and readers can choose from puns, trivia, knock-knock jokes, and riddles. However, the punchlines and answers are printed directly beneath each joke, giving readers little opportunity to think through them on their own, which may especially diminish the appeal of the trivia questions. Reading with a partner may help preserve some of the humor. The books include no introduction or back matter.
