Booklist - 04/01/2024 In this Learn About: Your Best Self series (4 titles) selection, a cheerful young narrator named Kylie describes situations in which she is—or should be—honest. Each anecdote ends with an Honesty Matters bubble that explains or highlights the effects of being honest in that situation. The scenarios are consistently upbeat, with good results for Kylie. Colorful, cartoon illustrations add to the happy mood. Though the text doesn’t really address the potential nuances, dangers, or challenges of honesty, one section emphasizes the importance of pairing kindness with honesty. Also included are several scenarios related to honesty to discuss with an adult. The back matter features an easy-to-use glossary with example sentences as well as definitions.
