Full Text Reviews:

Booklist - 04/01/2025 From the publisher’s Caring for Your Body series (4 titles), this attractive book encourages young kids to take good care of their bodies, particularly by getting all the sleep they need. Why do children need more sleep than grown-ups? The text states that it’s because their “bodies and brains are working so hard all the time.” Other topics covered include the stages of sleep, the quality of sleep, the usefulness of a bedtime routine, and the possible benefits of dreaming. The book also stresses the importance of exercise and nutrition and advises kids to discuss their worries with a trusted adult. Each double-page spread includes an excellent close-up photo of a child that illustrates the text on the facing page. A colorful, appealing, and potentially useful presentation of information on sleep. - Copyright 2025 Booklist.
