Booklist - 06/01/2024 A cute high-school romance from the mangaka behind A Sign of Affection and Shortcake Cake, Like a Butterfly is a story of two quiet young people finding each other. Often compared to a lone and lovely flower, Suiren has many admirers at her new high school. But when Taichi Kawasumi helps her deal with unwanted attention, Suiren realizes she wants to become close to him, like a butterfly. The only problem is that Suiren is incredibly shy. This soft and gentle manga about two teenagers learning to come out of their respective shells is a perfect pick for fans of Morishita's other work, as well as series such as Kimi ni Todoke: From Me to You and Honey So Sweet. Upon its original publication in Japan, Like a Butterfly became Morishita's first big success, and fans of her subsequent popular romance manga will recognize her gentle and floaty style.
