Booklist - 04/01/2025 Mo, a bouncy blue monster, is going on a field trip to a farm with his 23 classmates. His teacher divides the class into pairs, and away we go! How many pairs will we have? As the day goes on, readers figure out various permutations involving allotments of lunch items, critters, eggs, and vegetables, with numbers progressively getting greater and concepts more sophisticated. The math activities are embedded within an enjoyable story and move along in logical order, including lots of opportunities for repetition. Every object is crisply and distinctly illustrated so that kids can count along, sort them into piles, and check their answers. Additional concepts include number sentences, remainders, multiplication, and arrays. This colorful offering from the Learn Math with Mo series (6 titles) works equally well for introducing or reinforcing basic math operations. - Copyright 2025 Booklist.
