School Library Journal - 10/01/2025 K-Gr 3—Join Batman and his Bat-family for action-packed adventures in this latest batch of early chapter books. In these four titles, the heroes must outsmart Clayface at the zoo, stop Harley Quinn from stealing jewels, thwart Mr. Freeze's icy bank heist, and solve the Riddler's tricky clues to rescue Commissioner Gordon. Each story is divided into three short chapters and delivers fast-paced action with plenty of recognizable characters. Full-color, comic book–style illustrations enhance the experience, giving readers the visual feel of a true Batman tale. While the text can feel clunky at times—likely due to the challenge of compressing complex plots into limited space—it remains accessible for early readers seeking excitement. VERDICT A solid if not essential purchase.
