School Library Journal - 05/01/2025 Gr 3 Up—Dusty, Scraps, and ReRe, three raccoon brothers from Toronto, see that Prince, a social media star who also happens to be a raccoon, will be in town for a convention. When the four meet, Dusty and Prince decide to trade places, wanting to see how the other half lives. What unfolds is a case of not knowing what you have until it's gone. As this is a fairly straightforward telling of a familiar story, this graphic novel could have been hit and a miss, but it plays well on the strengths of the hilarious lifestyles these two characters live. Seeing how dull and repetitive the life of an influencer can be, and just how hard fighting for every meal is for some will give readers an appreciation for the ease of their own lives. VERDICT The classic story of "The Prince and the Pauper" gets retold using trash-eating raccoons. The lesson of experiencing how others live remains the same. - Copyright 2025 Publishers Weekly, Library Journal and/or School Library Journal used with permission.
