School Library Journal - 02/14/2025 Gr 2–4—Olympic ice dancing medalists and siblings Maia and Alex Shibutani team up again to highlight Asian Americans and Pacific Islanders who have changed and are changing the world by breaking down barriers and being an inspiration to others. Most individuals featured have a short paragraph that shares where they are from and their contributions and accomplishments. There are few paragraphs that are dedicated to two individuals in the same profession. This is an illustrated collected biography, but with over three dozen people covered in 18 pages of text, the entries feel rushed and crowded. The authors' note is heartfelt and inspirational; the illustrations are lovely and represent each person well.
