Booklist - 01/01/2026 Raven Gallows and the Truth Trackers are back, and this time, they’re on a treasure hunt. Following revelations about her mother in The Secret of Moonrise Manor (2025), Raven has a lot on her mind when a discovery in her town leads her and her three pals to join the search for a lost local treasure. The discovery coincides inconveniently with Sassafras Springs’ Outlaw Days, a festival that celebrates the crime-filled history of their small Missouri town. All four of the amateur detectives play a part in the festivities, which bring plenty of out-of-towners, many of whom catch treasure fever and become competition for the Truth Trackers, who come to realize that there’s more than treasure at stake. With real-life historical figures and a handful of puzzles readers can solve on their own, The Curse of the Lost Cave reads a bit like a more sophisticated 39 Clues. This second mystery can stand on its own and is even better than the first in the series. - Copyright 2026 Booklist.
