School Library Journal - 05/01/2025 Gr 3–7—Twins Jessica and Elizabeth Wakefield are two of the most popular girls at Sweet Valley Middle School. Though they are different in several ways, both are known for their kindness to others. When new girl Brooke moves into town, Jessica is asked to show her around, but neither she nor her sister want anything to do with the meanest girl they've ever met. The twins must figure out if they and the rest of the student body are jumping to conclusions and not giving Brooke a chance. Originally started back in 1983, Francine Pascal's dramatic teen series has maintained relevance by adapting their stories to each generation that comes along.
